Caring is sharing — and tweeting ;p
p2pnet news view | P2P | Music:- “Hello!,” tweets Gary Go. “I get slightly hurt when I lose a twitter follower and elated when I gain one. Such is twitter.”
Such is Twitter indeed and when he, “spotted a heart-shaped balloon entangled in a tree outside his house, the first thing he did was to take a photo and post it on Twitter,” says Lola Adesioye in The Guardian, going on:
“While keeping his fans updated on the balloon’s forlorn progress over the following days, Go was struck by a thought. ‘I suggested that we should write a song about it,’ he says, ‘and asked my Twitter friends to send in lyric ideas about the heart-shaped balloon. People sent in good stuff, nice ideas. I put them together and wrote a song’.”
But it doesn’t end there.
Heart Shaped Balloon was one of the first Twitter tracks and since caring is sharing, Gary has promised royalties accruing from the song, ‘will be shared equally with the Tweeters who collaborated with Go,” says the story.
Not only but also, “Somalian-Canadian rapper K’naan has found another way to Twitter,” says Lola, adding:
“He created a special instrumental version of one of his album tracks specifically for the application and is currently holding a contest in which his fans can rewrite the lyrics using a maximum of eight tweets. The final track will be available for download on Twitter.”
Good ones.

I don’t know why, but this topic made me recall the Montreal man who got fined for feeding a squirrel a peanut. Ref: http://www.montrealgazette.com/Technology/fined+feeding+squirrel/1562225/story.html
After he went to court & paid the fine, he wrote a song called squirrelGate. Ref: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=934743
