Rapper T.I. goes to jail
p2pnet news view Music | Crime:- Atlanta rapper Clifford Harris, Jr, aka T.I., will today turn himself in to federal authorities to serve a year-long sentence on a weapons charge.
“In the 14 months since T.I. accepted the conviction in a plea deal with federal prosecutors in Atlanta, he has spent hundreds of hours speaking to young people [part of his sentence], trying to convince them that he’s turned his life around and they should flee from the thug life that once was so prominent in his writing,” says 11alive.com.
He’s set to start his year-and-a-day prison term for, “trying to buy illegal machine guns and silencers from undercover federal agents in 2007″ says the New York Daily News.
He threw himself a going-away party in his hometown of Atlanta, “where he thanked the sellout crowd for their forgiveness and vowed to return to the stage,” says the story, quoting him as saying:
“What I need y’all to do is pray for me while I’m gone.”
He’ll be spending his time in the low security Federal Correction Institution at Forrest City, Arkansas.

1) I smell a setup. Someone probably some white trash KKK or else is after him because they can not stomach a succesfull black.
2) What’s about the right to bear weapon guaranteed by the constitution?
No I am not black. I would rather qualify as caucassian if it’s mean any thing to you because to me it does not.

At least he won’t have to worry about a criminal conviction hurting his career. Prison has become a sort of rite-of-passage and/or badge-of-honor among the gansta-rap sect.
yes, the U.S. Constitution plainly states, “the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”
At the time the Constitution was written, gun owners were generally law-abiding, the term “inner city” did not have a negative connotation. There were no ghettos, and no “gangsta” culture — and no music, film and TV industries shamelessly promoting this destructive counter-culture. (Needless to say, Negroes were largely confined to plantations in those days.)
However, narcotics were legal and hemp was widely cultivated – though it’s not known if anyone ever cared to try smoking it.
