Net terror strike due tomorrow

p2pnet.net News:- You’d better batten down your virtual hatches because terrorists will paralyze the Internet tomorrow, says a report in Russia’s Mosnews here.

Quoting Kaspersky Labs’ Aleksandr Gostev, “information on this terrorist attack was published on special websites,” says the report, saying that Gostev “did not elaborate”.

Initially, the US and Western Europe will be in the receiving end, says Gostev, according to the Russian Information Agency Novosti.

Mosnews says Kaspersky head Yevgeny Kaspersky claims similar attacks paralyzed the Net in South Korea, adding it would be “impossible” to stop terrorist organizations if they “get down to business”.

However, “I do not believe in mass internet attacks because the main servers are defended, and Kaspersky Labs has been foretelling doomsday for a long time,” says Mikhail Bychinsky, executive director of Dr.Web antivirus lab, according to the Lenta.ru web agency.

Kaspersky Labs was the first to report Cabir, the first mobile phone virus.
