WestJet cheep adverts
p2pnet news view P2P | Advertising:- While some airlines are finding it harder and harder to stay in the air because of the economic squeeze, Canada’s WestJet has found a cheep way to economically reach the people.
As p2pnet points out, online, static ads don’t make it.
People blank them out figuratively and literally, which means advertisers have to talk to the people, not at them.
WestJet seems to have figured this out, taking its message online via Twitter, tweeting not only discount bargains such as, “Hey we’re doing another 50% off!” – but also, “There is a disabled aircraft on the runway at Winnipeg airport. Average of a two hour delay on all flights.”
Good one.
IOHO, most advertisers are abusing the Net instead of using it.
