Ok France here is an easy solution to your big problem. Cut off all your internet connections. Problem solved. Damn that was easy. Oh wait the people won't like that... oh well that's tough. Many have to suffer so the few have it good... Or was it the other way around? Doesn't matter as long as I don't have to give up anything and I don't have to suffer.

Democracy is getting nailed all over. Fck free speech is the order of the day it seems. Here we go around in the EU touting democracy and IF it fits our scheme we will use it. Otherwise bring in the dictators, we wouldn't want the stupid people who don't know whats best for them to decide their own fates... please that is just dumb.

Time to start shipping some of these people over to Guantanamo because their ideas seem anti-patriotic.

As much as I dislike child pornography (especially with a daughter), I think this whole anti-child pornography bit is being blown out of proportion, and even being used by governments, as in this case, to push their own agendas (i.e. anti- freedom of speech, anti- choice, anti- innovation, etc...) , and get a reason to riffle through people's privacy.

Case in point:
There have been teenagers who have been arrested with "child pornography" for having pictures of themselves in the nude. While it is very stupid of these children to have done something like that, another very possible situation, would be a parent videotaping a 8 year old son/daughter signing to their heart's content in the shower during their vacation overseas- because it was cute- and being arrested for the video at the US borders.

At the same time, I often carry confidential information when I travel back to the US, and I don't like the fact that I could have my PC searched, whether I like it or not, just on the off chance that I might be carrying in child pornography or ripped copies of music from a CD.
