I recommend the HTC dream android to anyone. Ive spent hrs seeing what it can do (im impressed). If your a savvy java fan you will find this a breeze to develop for. The android market has tons of apps already. The only problem is the rogers contract as stated already by Jon. Im glad im not stuck with a phone for 3 yrs but if I was going to pick 1 it would definitely be an android phone. That bar code reader app works tested it several times, though I don't see much of a point to it. My sister got the first one at my local mall. already cracked open the SDK.
