I have the defective AC adapter. It gotten so hot, that it melted and damaged the ac adapter port of my IBM thinkpad to the point that the entire system just died out. Does anyone know if IBM will replaced the damaged out-of-waranty system also? What good is it if IBM replaces the AC adapter if I can't even get the entire system to work?
