Does Steve Jobs have a new liver?
p2pnet news view | Off Topic:- Apple boss and reality adjustment specialist Steve Jobs, 54, was away from work for so long because he apparently had an organ replacement.
We say ‘apparently’ because, says Bloomberg News, he had a liver transplant about two months ago.
Or did he?
Jobs, diagnosed with a rare form of pancreatic cancer and who went on medical leave in January, had a liver transplant about two months ago, “according to a person familiar with the matter,” says the story.
But, “While Apple’s directors don’t need to give updates on Jobs’s health while he is on leave, that could change if he comes back as CEO,” it has Charles Elson, director of the John L. Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance at the University of Delaware, saying, also stating:
“I think it would be necessary for them to disclose something as serious as a liver transplant. Investors want to know if he’s healthy and if he can continue to run the company.”
Given that Apple is Jobs, whose magic has otherwise otherwise intelligent people believing it’s okay to pay a dollar and up for a lossie music file worth only a few cents, that iPods are essential to human life as we understand it, and that Apple wasn’t one of the most enthusiastic promoters of DRM (Digital Restrictions Management) consumer control, he’s not merely a vital component of the company’s survival, he’s THE vital component.
In January, “I have asked Tim Cook to be responsible for Apple’s day to day operations, and I know he and the rest of the executive management team will do a great job,” Jobs said, going on, “As CEO, I plan to remain involved in major strategic decisions while I am out. Our board of directors fully supports this plan. Our board of directors fully supports this plan.”

yes jobs did get a new liver called the iLiver.
It must be activated via iTunes and you need a 3G plan from AT&T and Jail breakers will drop dead when caught.
