    Now the vultures will gather.

    Cheers!

  2. RadialSkid Says:

It’s hard to believe the guy still has as many rabid fans as he does.

The worst part is the media are going to milk this story to bloody death.

  3. Devil's Advocate Says:

That’s one way to get out of a 400-million-dollar debt!
    (So much for the vultures!)

Seriously, though… We KNEW this was fated to happen around now.
I just can’t decide whether or not to feel sorry for the kids left behind, or be relieved for them, as they might still have a chance at normalcy!

  4. Robert Says:

The media is going to be distracted with this… look for something terrible to be done by governments; legislation, invasion or attacking another country with high casualties, etc…

Once the public is distracted, dark things happen! During the Columbine mess, USA bombed the shit out of Afghanistan and no one really knew because they were absorbed in the news on the two kids and “expert” opinion on security precautions.

hip hip hurray, the pedo is dead !!

tribute a talent-less child molestor? sure, attend the funeral and piss on his grave.

  8. Devil's Advocate Says:

    @surfer:

    Hey, don’t hold back!
    Say what you REALLY feel!
    ; )

  9. surfer Says:

    8)

  10. Jon Says:

Child-molster? Could be, and probably was, from all accounts. Talentless? Nope. He was good. But then, so was Gary Glitter. Pete Townshend?

    Cheers!

  11. surfer Says:

a cracked-out-monkey-wanna-be-white child fucker is dead,

thank you there is a God. Praise the Almighty, send his ass directly to a corner office in Hell, where he must listen to Roy Orbison FOREVER !

Please God, reincarnate him as an abused, raped 6 year old with AIDS.

    better?

  12. surfer Says:

oh, Jon, you did not just compare this fuck with Pete Townshend, tell me so.

  13. Robert Says:

Surfer, geeze man, you’re pretty harsh on the guy, especially when nothing was proven. Each account is very strange, a lot of chances for possibility of truth, but also a lot of chances for a grab at money.

You sound extra bitter, like you went to one of his concerts as a youth and he didn’t sign your Thriller Vinyl even though you waited 6 hours in the cold rain.

  14. Henry Emrich Says:

    Robert:

    “Nothing was proven”: suuuure.
Look at the Wikipedia article: the medical examiners after the first case (the one where he made the “tearful TV appearance”) stated that — in their view — there were “strong similarities”. The fact that he was able to buy his way out of what any normal person would have gone to prison over is, quite simply, a testament to exactly why the entire notion of “celebrity” needs to be obliterated.

By the same token, I really DO have some sympathy for the guy:

    1. First, his dad was an abusive, evil fuck. He was basically trained to perform by way of Pavlovian conditioning — “do it right, or get your ass kicked”. That’s bound to leave some serious psychological issues. Now throw in the “cult of celebrity” — the fact that the guy was basically sheltered from anything resembling “regular life” from the time he was a child (building his own private theme-park, and wearing matching outfits with his pet chimp? Damn), and you have — yet again — a recipe for disaster.

Regular people have to either deal with their psychological demons outright, or at least develop some kind of “coping mechanism” to get them through the day: “Stars” — being as they have more money than God, are surrounded by a vast retinue of “yes-men”, industry vultures, and other sundry scumbags, AND the fact that anything they do — no matter how fucking horrible or just plain ridiculous — will be gobbled up by their “fans” — well, it’s just miraculous that more of them aren’t total douchebags.

I really consider the guy to be a victim — just like Amy Winehouse, Britney Spears, Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Judy Garland, etc etc. – they’re what the status of “celebrity” creates, and the fact that so many of us feed on it is a goddamn shame, for them as well as for us.

We need to be aiming for a culture where so much “content” is being produced and distributed by so many people that “celebrity” and “fame” in the conventional sense becomes utterly impossible. P2p technology and the Internet can really bring that about.

But yeah, Surfer doesn’t like Michael Jackson very much :)

  15. Henry Emrich Says:

Clarification: “STrong similiarities” between Michael Jackson’s dick, and the description given by the (alleged) victim.

  16. Reader's Write Says:

Farrah Fawcett’s death was more of a shame than this.

  17. Reader's Write Says:

For me, MJ was an icon of copyrasty.

  18. Reader's Write Says:

To his credit, he outlived the previous “King” Elvis

In tribute, I’ll download a .torrent of his music and seed it.

    ===================

    Yup.
While CNN will run with this story for the next 11 days non-stop, and the vultures sue each other for a stake in the estate, and women who come forth saying wacko-jacko is the father of their kids, the gov usually does something or tries to pass something while it gets buried behind a beaten-to-death glamor headline.

  20. Jon Says:

    @ surfer

    Townshend? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-154623/Pete-Townshend-I-paedophile.html and http://www.injusticebusters.com/2003/townshend.htm

There’s about as much to that as there is to the allegations against Jackson.

    Gary Glitter? No argument.

    Cheers!

  21. Reader's Write Says:

Surfer as much as your hate runs deep, or no matter what you think of his changing skin color or the child accusations, you have to give credit where credit is due.

He had talent and entertained millions.

Even if he had been convicted, this would not changed.

  22. King of pop fan!! Says:

Ne1 who talkin shit about M.J I hope u fkkn die u!!….the media bashes mj and ppl quickly forget how much he’s done and how much money he has raised.

  23. surfer Says:

opinions are like assholes, you have one and you don’t need another.

    stw

  24. Robert Says:

And I’m right, partially at least, today the TV is talking nothing but Michael Jackson. They have his “friends” in interviews, doctors, anyone who might be able to say something (not necessarily add value) about the situation.

  25. liz at Giganews Says:

He was a pop star from an abusive home with serious issues.
    Clearly an addict

RIP Farrah- let us not forget one of Charlie’s Angels passed today as well.

    Popping pills kills kids.

  26. Reader's Write Says:

Good riddance Chester the molester and homo twinky.

  27. Dave Says:

Another child molester is dead. The only difference between this one and all the others in the world, is Jackson was a very talented man/boy. No doubt he was a genius of his craft. With that said, he still hurt and paid off many a child he abused. When all is done, I am sure he will be missed for his talent, but not for what he was as a person. For which would you like to be remembered?

On the opposite end of the spectrum is the death of Farrah. Was she genius of her craft? No. She was a good actress, no doubt. She was easy on the eyes. Absolutely no doubt. To my knowledge, she never hurt any one, much less a child. She should and will be missed, for her talent and for who she was as a person.

Two public figures, who lived very different lives and left behind very different memories in those they came in contacted with.

  28. pitchhill Says:

How sad so many people are that are focused on this guys death. I am amazed at how narrow minded the majority of these people are. Yes I know who he is, I grew up enjoying his music, etc. etc. but you people need to see more of the world and get with the program. Michael Jackson’s dead. So what? Give me a break. There’s a whole of shit going down that you ignorant mass of people are so unaware of and you’re all crying over this?!!!! God help us!

  29. Curtis Jackson (50 cent) Says:

Yo thats my cousin ryte there! Ggg…g…g UNIT! Mikey gangsta we miss u but u changed yourself from a black man into a white woman, that’s a total conversion that no other guy achieved. Mikey u da P.I.M.P, i dont know who shot ya!

  30. Dave Says:

After reading “some” of these post, it must scare more than a few to know, our country/world will be in the hands of people who can’t put a sentence together. Michael Jackson would be proud.

  31. Jon Says:

    Hi Dave:

Not everyone is a writer. Not everyone is a singer. Not everyone is a coder. Not everyone is brain surgeon. Not everyone is a gardener. Not everyone is a mother or father. Not everyone …

And why the quotes around ’some,’ Dave?

So how about a contribution from you?

    Cheers!

  32. Anonomas Jackson Says:

Michael was a dancer – singer – baby boy molester – half black man half white women – now u wanna tell me he dead – naaaw i know wer he at, he kept in captivity wit Elvis, 2pac, John Lennon and Bob Marley. Michael made us all scream at one stage but he faded off, maybe we’ll miss him but did you see how he was in court, he said: “The boys are my children so i touched them”

  33. Dave Says:

Jon, well said. I only wish I had something to contribute, but alas, I don’t. You on the other hand have a way of delivering your words in a soft package yet they pack a solid punch. It can be a pleasure to receive a rebuke when it is well writhen.

    CHEERS to you too.

  34. _-Jile-_ Says:

    Michael Jackson, dead.

Let’s be honest, only the kids involved and God know what happened now. We will never find out. Those of us looking in from the outside, knowing nothing about the case beyond the media’s version(s) can make all the assumptions we want but at the end of the day {Judge not, lest ye be judged yourselves}. If he was guilty, then I’m glad no further harm can come to children due to his hands but if he was not then the guy was destroyed because a few kids and their parents wanted to make a buck. Again, we’ll never know.

As an artist he was great and as such his fans will mourn his passing and impact to a genre of music that has no comparative equal – likely, never will.

Also, like losing a piece of our past, there’s nothing wrong with people talking about Michael dying – cut people some slack, jeeze.

    Just my 10 cents,
    _-Jile-_

  35. Michael Jackson Says:
