		<description>Thanks a lot for putting this out there in front of more people. Let&#039;s see if it stirrs up some kind of debate around the subject of business models around twitter.

I must say at the time I wrote the article (March 2008) it wasn&#039;t so obvious the whole search engine based biz model as it is now, hopefully as things have unfolded more people will agree with my perception of a future billion dollar valuation as twitter becomes a worldwide form of communication.

However, after big events have come through via twitter (CNN vs Ashton), Iran Elections, Michael Jackson&#039;s Death and so on, there seems to be a usage pattern with twitter.  A lot of people sign up to see what it is, some get it, some don&#039;t, but even those that get it never come back after a couple of days.

We&#039;ll see what&#039;s on that biz plan that has so many powerful people putting money into it.</description>
