Philippine Eduardo in anti-Hezbollah raid!

p2pnet news view | MPAA News:- I thought I was done for the day.

But I couldn’t let this pass.

“Here is one for Tom to comment on ;) ” says Aussie Terrorists in a Reader’s Write, going on

Aussie Movie pirates funding terrorists
http://www.smh.com.au/national/movie-pirates-funding-terrorists-20090627-d0gm.html?page=-1

You are either with us or against us – G bush on the fight on terrorism.

‘Tom’ is p2pnet contributor Tom ‘17 cups of coffee a day’ Koltai, who lives in Sydney, Australia.

How movie piracy is being used to fund terrorist groups

Who TF is Philippine Eduardo Manzano? – you might wonder.

And why might you wonder it?

Because he’s the latest Hollywood Polizi recruit, signed up by MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America).

Pictured here with Sappy (left), the MPAA’s newest labrador Super-Sniffer, Manzano is, “running a campaign against piracy in the Philippines” and saying, “profits from illegal films ended up in the hands of terrorists”.

It’s in the Sydney Morning Herald, so it must be true!

Why Mandango?

Because, “It is difficult for law enforcement officials alone to eradicate this crime altogether,” says the SMH.

And to prove it, write Eamonn Duff and Rachel Browne, “Revelations to be aired on Channel Seven’s Sunday Night … show how movie piracy is being used to fund terrorist groups including Hezbollah and Jemaah Islamiah, responsible for the Bali bombings in 2002.”

WOW! Hezbollah AND Jemaah Islamiah !!!!!!!!!

“The investigation traces the activity of Sydney man Craig Farrugia, who pleaded guilty to movie piracy copyright crimes in April and was fined $5400 and placed on an 18-month good behaviour bond,” continues the Sidney Moaning Hernia, saying Sunday Night host Mike Munro joined Mancranko on a raid in Manila, say Eamonn and Rachel »»»

Blacktown Drive-in to Bali bomb: plotting six degrees of separation

1 Sydney man Craig Farrugia secretly records films, including Marley & Me — starring Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson — at the Blacktown Drive-in before uploading copies to websites.

Gasp

2 Pirate copies of films, often downloaded from websites, are produced in Asia for as little as 25 cents a disc and sold for 20 times that amount, making them a cash cow for organised crime.

Shudder

3 An anti-piracy taskforce, filmed by Sunday Night, meets in Manila before a raid on an international gang suspected of manufacturing millions of illegal DVDs.

Faint

4 Eduardo Manzano, a renowned Filipino actor leading a government team in the war against movie piracy, says illegal DVD profits end up in the hands of terrorists.

Swoon

5 A raid by heavily armed members of the anti-piracy taskforce yields 1.6 million illegal DVDs, the biggest haul in the Philippines. Arrests are made and the DVDs destroyed.

Collapses on floor, helpless with laughter

6 The raid costs organised crime millions of dollars, which may have been funnelled to terrorist groups such as the Bali bombers Jemaah Islamiah, according to Philippine authorities. The Australian Federation Against Copyright Theft and other anti-piracy experts also say illegal DVD profits help fund terrorism.

“May have been funnelled” — Riiiiight.

JEEEEZ !!!!!

But the sad thing is: the lamescream mainstream media (excluding the SMH, of course) lap this kind of drivel up and regurgitate it wholesale just like it’s real!

Is this the start of a new Entertainment Kartell campaign, do you think?

On the same day the SMH ran this piece of crapola, across the pond, Britain’s BBC featured a load of old bollocks from BPI employee Geoff ‘Rosetta Stone’ Taylor .

No need to stay tuned.

    Tomorrows headline in the SMH.

Iran funds Nuclear centrifuges with profits from ripped BBC documentaries.

  2. Jaybarti Says:

That sounds like something I would do… well the ripped BBC Documentaries part anyhow

  3. Reader's Write Says:

Day after tomorrow news in the SMH:

Jaybarti arrested for funding terrorist nuclear activities in Iran.

Jaybarti pleaded guilty to the lesser crime of sharing in exchange for a press release stating he is sorry for contributing to world terror. He is quoted as saying, “if I never ripped those BBC documentaries, the Iran vote would never have been rigged and American made nuclear centrifuges would never have found their way into the Iran nuclear program”.

The Australian film industry estimates that people like Jaybarti contribute over 2.3 billion dollars annually to terrorist groups and caused the Australian economic crisis leading to over 300-thousand lost jobs.

The Conference Board of Canada, an independent think tank and the foremost, objective and non-partisan, not-for-profit applied research organization in Canada. , validated the industries numbers.

    It’s all true I’m afraid.
Physical Pirating of DVD’s has always been and will always be a “mafia” money raiser. Whether thats the freedom fighters in the philippines, Iran, or the Fairfield markets (which I blogged about a few weeks ago) – As long as there is a physical Media involved – there is a pirate in the equation somewhere.
But on the other side of the coin.
With Digital content, its very hard for a distribution system (read mafia) to make mopney out of the transaction except through click-through organisations databank (although since I blogged about it – they appear to be taking down their illegal sites….) (http://httpsecure.ipodownlod.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=PDF) so I for one consider that to eradicate Terrorism globally, all content should be distributed via the net at low cost thereby removing the ability of pirates to make money to fund terrorist activities.

And I have blogged about Pirates before too. They aint your local P2P downloaders – UNTIL they burn something onto a disk and sell it without the permission of the copyright owner.

So – saying of the day “Stamp out Terrorism – Legalise weed…. ooops – wrong campaign – decriminalise File sharing……”

Although if you think about it – if all the terrorists were stonked on weed, they would be probably too laid back to be terrorists.
Disclaimer: I don’t smoke weed, used to in my college days but it made me cough too much – so I gave it up.

    interesting.

  6. Robert Says:

@RW, ok you almost made me fall on the floor laughing, especially with your last sentence!

    @Thomas:
Isn’t it amazing how people fighting freedom and persecution outside the US are considered terrorists, if a country invades another country it is considered a hostile takeover and intolerable, but if the US does it, it’s A-OK?

  7. Robert Says:

I wonder if Eduardo realizes that puppies often eat their own feces and his puppy probably did a “personal cleaning” right before that photograph!

Headlines 3 days from now on the SMH

Thomas Koltai, arrested for partaking on a terrorist website. Given three life sentence, no chance for parole, no coffee and one book to read until death; Captain Copyright. The Australian film industry applauds the judgment and calls on other nations to step-up in the war on terror.

Robert, of the terrorist nation Canukistan, is on the most wanted list for crimes against the state. It is estimated he contributed to the brainwashing of 64-million Australians.

The Conference Board of Canada, an independent think tank and the foremost, objective and non-partisan, not-for-profit applied research organization in Canada, validated the population of Australia.

The Australian Bureau of Investigation are currently tying the terrorist cells run by Jaybarti to that of Robert.

It is estimated that these two cells have defrauded youtube of 300.6 Million dollars in revenue by uploading ripped BBC documentaries with the commercials ripped out. Upon forensic analysis of the youtube video’s, it was determined that a unauthorized recording of Ice-T’s greatest hits was heard in the background, further depriving the industry of 50-thousand jobs.

The Conference Board of Canada, an independent think tank and the foremost, objective and non-partisan, not-for-profit applied research organization in Canada, is currently at work validating these numbers with help from funders and a 15 thousand tax payer dollars donation from Research Canada.

Friends state he hates puppies. If spotted do no approach. Please contact the MPAA. He is considered armed and dangerous.

It is estimated that these Aussie and Canadian cell’s may have funneled over 300-billions dollars to terrorist groups in Palestine.

The Canadian RCMP is trying to pass it’s domestic spy program to protect the people.

  9. Robert Says:

    @RW whoever you are, thank-you!

It’s a Rainy Day and a Monday and you just prevented it from getting me down!

  10. Reader's Write Says:

    I’m a lawyer with SOCAN.

About that Ice-T song on your youtube BBC upload, you owe us 300,000$. Or you can settle for 50,000$ and not get a criminal record.

  11. Thomas Koltai Says:

    One Book ?

And uhhh 64 million aussies ?

Shit – When I last looked – there were only 21 million. So who the hell has been getting all the action ?
    I wanna know coz I missed out…..

  12. snickers Says:

Well I funded the reports for The Conference Board of Canada, an independent think tank and the foremost, objective and non-partisan, not-for-profit applied research organization in Canada.

Funders get the last word and say.

    So yeah.

The Captain copyright propaganda comic books that were intended for Canadian elementary schools will keep you busy (or make you go insane).

  13. Reader's Write Says:

    Captain Copyright
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_Copyright

  14. Robert Says:

However, since they are books from Canada, you’ll have them in Canada’s two official languages, French and English. The audio CD will include the France French pronunciation, English pronunciation, and Quebec French pronunciation.

  15. Reader's Write Says:

It’s interesting that the featured movie in this Hollywood-as-eternal-victim baloney is ‘Marley and Me’ – probably the most inoffensive movie of the year. Or is it one of the few movies to come out of Hollywood that these ‘terrorist’ pirates (presumably all fanatically devout Muslims) would not be ashamed to admit watching with their families?

It’s a sure bet that they won’t ever parade “The Last Temptation of Christ” as a shining example of why we should all support Hollywood.

  16. Reader's Write Says:

Whats kind of ironic is the Aussie lobby groups saying there is terrorist connections to copying, yet at the same time when they are caught copying, they want the case dismissed:

Australian rock band Men at Work are fighting accusations that the melody of their 1980s international hit, “Down Under,” was stolen from a popular children’s song about a bird.
    http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20090627/downunder_song_090627/20090627?hub=Entertainment

    made me laugh a bit.

Will men at work get jail time? Sony BMG Music Entertainment and EMI Songs Australia get jail time? Will both be linked to funneling billions to terrorists?

Nah, they can afford to beat the rap.

  17. cody Says:

calculating how many DVD’s i have to get pressed to get an entry level rocket launcher…
