  1. Reader's Write Says:

Sandvine is saying there is no problem running P2P and time sensitive applications like online gaming and voip apps at the same time.

This is a load of bullshit. Even Bell knows they can’t run P2P at the same time as something time sensitive (gaming/voip) because latency will jump up in the thousands.

CRTC even questioned this again, and sandvine again said it’s not an issue.

Sandvine is laying it on thick and not saying what is actually happening to users. They are saying there is no latency/ping problems!

    Also, Bell doesn’t use sandvine.

This is turning into a sandvine commercial.

they also state that DPI is promoting innovation…

what BS ! you dont need to see IN the packet, you can easily decide bandwidth balancing with the packet alone.

Great point by the CRTC! Pointing out that shaping is being used to manage the steady state peak periods not mother’s day. #netneutrality

Juniper Networks asking for room for innovation in traffic management practice #netneutrality

Juniper is talking about the top 5% heavy users and mentioned Michael Jackson for the 4th time this morning. #netneutrality
