That is the slogan of the future. By the people, for the people? Doesn't exist anymore. Good luck getting your rights back once they're gone folks. Democracy for sale to the highest bidder. The corporations have all the money and nearly all of the power. Capitalistic societies work because it caters so well to human nature. The seven deadly sins will always win, greed and fear especially (I vote fear as the eighth deadly sin as it makes people do the stupidest things). People may reply to this and say I'm wrong. To them I would ask, what actions have you taken to prevent the dark future I see coming? Before you ask, the answer is no. Unless you can stand on your soapbox and actually be heard by the entire world, complaining definitely does not count. Most people are ignorant, too preoccupied with their own lives and struggling to make ends meet. Those that are aware are likely only getting one side of the story thanks to the mainstream media, which are themselves owned by those same corporations that have a vested interest in controlling everyone and everything. Only a small handful of technically minded people are truly aware of what is happening and of those only a tiny fraction seem to be doing something about it. After World War I, nobody believed there would ever be another war like it. Didn't take long at all for World War II to show humankind that no amount of hoping and wishing will ever make it so. If you all truly want a better future, you have to work hard for it and be willing to do whatever it takes to win. I guarantee you that your enemy will.
