Cat Stevens US entry drama
p2pnet.net News:- “I’m totally shocked,” Yusuf Islam/Cat Stevens told reporters at Britain’s Heathrow airport.
“Half of me wants to smile, half of me wants to growl.”
Quoted in an E-online story, that was his reaction to being kicked out of the US on “national security grounds”.
We posted an OT item yesterday which drew 39 (at the time of writing) comments, one of which we posted as an item. It, too, drew several responses.
One asked: “wtf has this got to do with p2p?” Another responded, “What has this got to do with P2P?????? Simple Freedom Liberty Rights!!!!! Today the airports Tommorrow Filesharers!!!!!!!”
There was also a link to Islam’s home-page which says:
“Site visitors and fans alike will no doubt have heard about today’s news that Yusuf Islam has been refused entry into the US. As yet we have no specific information from the US immigration authorities as to why he was not allowed to enter the country. What we can say, however, is that he will be shocked and angered at being associated with anyone who commits acts of violence. He has vehemently and consistently criticized terrorist acts and has always advocated peace through his songs and his extensive humanitarian relief work. He has travelled many times to the US, most recently two months ago on a visit with his record company. Any suggestion therefore that he poses a security risk due to alleged connections with terrorist activities is totally denied as it is simply wrong. We are seeking further details so that we can challenge the decision to refuse him entry. When we have more information we will be able to comment further. We feel certain that this matter will be resolved soon.”

This is music related. The worst part is his music, which preached peace, funds his MADRASSA style school, which creates a new layer of terror.
Not to mention his ties to Hamas.
IMHO, this jerk should be handed some years in prison for aiding and abetting the terrorists.

From the article: “What has this got to do with P2P?????? Simple Freedom Liberty Rights!!!!! Today the airports Tommorrow Filesharers!!!!!!!”
Exactly. P2P filesharers would share books like Salman Rushdie’s. Cat Stevens would remind us that the Islamic penalty of sharing that book is death.
“I inform the proud Muslim people of the world that the author of the Satanic Verses book which is against Islam, the Prophet and the Koran, and all involved in its publication who were aware of its content, are sentenced to death.” -Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini
Be careful what you download.
