on one side the cry about losing money because of pirating

I hardly ever pay to see a movie in a theatre anymore. The only ones I do pay to see are ones that:

1) I know are going to break the $100 million mark anyway
2) I basically have nothing better to do.

Generally speaking, I only purchase about 3-5 movie tickets every year. But it has nothing to do with the price, or the convenience of downloading. I am sick of being treated like a criminal every time I pay to see a movie, and being subjected to 20 minutes of advertising, propaganda, and thinly veiled attempts to scam even more money out of me. And let’s face it, the quality of movies being made right now hardly seem worth the effort of taking a few hours out of your schedule, driving to the theatre, etc. I think I speak for most consumers when I say that the cinema experience just plain sucks. People are still, and have always been, willing to pay for quality entertainment, even when free alternatives exist, just so long as they are treated with respect. An industry that accuses its paying customers of criminal activity cannot survive in the digital age.

MPAA aren’t happy with box office results for this brain damaging attempt at ‘cinema’..

Memo: From the desk of Dan ‘The Joker’ Glickman;
Let’s run over a cammer to get some publicity out for this movie,
and maybe the box office numbers will go up.
Besides, it’s free, the media will eat this shit up.

p.s. Make it some young kid to emphasize our determination
to crack down on children, but don’t kill him, just run him over

Surprise. Surprise. Despite catching these 2 morons, your movie still made it to p2p. Congrats you stopped absolutely nothing.

Stream your movies live over the internet upon release and you wouldn’t have cammers. In fact im sure many would pay to see it from the comfort of their own home. Alas they must wait until the dvd release to purchase the hollywood DRM.

I really dislike the police when it comes to stuff like this, but it was honestly the correct thing to do.

See, if they were recording it to be shared free amongst P2P users, most would pity the guys then..

But as we know, the p2p community does not exactly appreciate people that record and then immediatly sell it off as to what they were doing.. Such people like this are the very people that the cops SHOULD be going after, not file sharers.
