IBM Compuware ‘gamesmanship’
p2pnet.net News:- IBM was accused of ambushing Compuware in an antitrust court case that saw IBM accused of using Compuware source code without permission.
Only three months before the software company’s “piracy claim against the technology giant” was to go to trial,” Compuware said IBM was trying to “sandbag” it with new evidence, said the Associated Press.
Now IBM has been ordered to reimburse Compuware, “for costs relating to evidence that IBM produced only three months before Compuware’s lawsuit was scheduled to go to trial,” says Reuters, quoting Compuware general counsel Thomas M. Costello, Jr, as saying:
“I’m glad that the court saw through IBM’s gamesmanship and attempt to saddle Compuware with additional costs and burdens.”
