Putting a face on net neutrality
p2pnet news view P2P:- It’s time to put a human face on the innovation element of net neutrality, reckons SaveOurNet.ca’s Steve Anderson.
And with that in mind, he’s looking for an innovator who’s being harmed by throttling and who’s willing to talk about it in (and to) the media.
Ideally this would be a Canadian wanting to use P2P for live streaming.
Or s/he could be a content distributor who’s being stifled by ‘traffic management’.
“I believe in the US it was revealed that the broadcasters were using P2P to get their material out to their network of stations,” says Steve.
“If this were true here it would reinforce the legitimate use of P2P and again undermine the arguments that its use isn’t time sensitive.”
Is that you, or someone you know?

Jon,
If its for media, and if he is looking for someone to be representative of the harm, I wouldn’t allow this story to get buried.
It’s worth a top spot for at least till the end of the weekend, imo, so that it is seen.

The user involved would be the only one to know the data’s purpose, or how important or time sensitive it may be. Just the fact that ANYONE ELSE in the process wants to make judgments about any traffic’s “time sensitivity” is what completely makes the case for Net Neutrality legislation.
