Will GGF become The Pirate Bay?

p2pnet news view Freedom | P2P:- Yesterday, “p2pnet can confirm rumours that The Pirate Bay deal with Global Gaming Factory X has gone under, leaving TPB`s Peter Sunde Kolmisoppi, Frederik Neij, Gottfrid Svartholm Warg and millionaire donor Carl Lundström high and dry,” we said.

This followed the news file-sharing pioneer Wayne Rosso has decided to walk away from discussions he’d been having with Global Gaming CEO Hans Pandeya (right).

As my conversations with Mr. Pandeya progressed, it became painfully  clear that there was not a solid plan in place that I could embrace, he told p2pnet.

Consequently I and my colleagues lost more and more confidence in GGF`s ability to execute.

GGF was also suspected of insider trading.

But according to reports, the deal is not only going ahead, but GGF is contemplating changing its name to The Pirate Bay.

The sale of the Pirate Bay to Swedish company Global Gaming Factory X will be concluded by the end of August, the company insists, says Radio Sweden.

Moreover, the board is, “so confident in the strength of the Pirate Bay brand that they are considering a name change,” it states.

The Pirate Bay deal will be concluded on August 27 and according to a press release, says the story, “a legalisation plan has been worked out and will be put into effect on the day of the purchase.

The board is, “now calling its shareholders to an extraordinary general meeting to have the purchase validated,” says Radio Sweden, continuing »»»

A group of investors will add another 4 million US dollar to the purchase sum.

The company is also in the final phase of negotiations with a global actor on a `file sharing agreement`, which should work as a template for the entertainment industry. We have started negotiations with a number of industrial partners to create revenue from the strong brand, GGF wrote in a press release.

“We are also exploring the possibility of changing our name from Global Gaming Factory X to The Pirate Bay as a part of our branding strategy,” says Pandeya in the release.

Stay tuned.

One Response to “Will GGF become The Pirate Bay?”

  1. Reader's Write Says:

The funny thing is that they keep talking about the Pirate bay as a business while the Pirate Bay never made any money and never tried.

It is amazing that it became a brand name but it did. The irony is that it is the entertainment industry who give them their brand name by calling everyone “Pirates!”

Hopefully real pirates will kidnap all these corporate garbages for ransons.

Meanwhile I am seeing the former Pirate Bay crew speeding away in their new shining boat all the sails out and with all their guns sticking out ready to fire.

I wonder what these corporates criminals at vivendi, Sony, EMI Time Warner . . . . are going to do about this.
