Big 4’s IFPI whines at Vladimir Putin
p2pnet news view Politics | Music:- Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin must be quaking in his boots.
He’s had a nasty letter from Vivendi Universal, EMI, Warner Music and Sony Music’s IFPI (International Federation of Phornographic Industry) .
The arrogance of the Big 4 and their various ‘trade’ organisations is truly awesome.
Mind you, with the likes of French entertainment kartell representatives Nicolas Sarkozy (France) and Lee Myung-bak (South Korea) hopping to look after entertainment industry businesson on demand, maybe they have good reason to believe they, and not elected governments, are in charge.
So it’s no surprise to learn IFPI front man John Kennedy not only has the gall to address a personal missive to the Russian president, but he also clearly expects him to pay attention .
See if you can guess who’s who in our pic.
“Kennedy was, “expressing his concerns about the fact that a Russian collecting society has begun collecting royalties for IFPI members without having proper agreements with them,” says Billboard, quoting Russia’s Kommersant.
Privately operated VOIS (the national society for intellectual property) has been collecting royalties due to be paid to IFPI members, “although it has not yet received accreditation from the government,” says the story, which goes on:
“Under the amendments to the Russian copyright law enacted as of Jan. 1, 2008, only companies that have accreditation from the government can manage rights collectively and collect royalties without direct agreements from right owners. In addition to VOIS, two more collecting societies have applied for state accreditation and only one of them will be selected by the state copyright watchdog, Rosokhrankultura, on July 31.”
But VOIS doesn’ t appear to be worried, according to Billboard.
The agency has, “shrugged off IFPI’s accusations,” it says.

In Russia, there is a common saying, which can be roughly translated as “Dumbness of our laws is compensated by optionality of observance” (ÐлÑпоÑÑÑ Ð·Ð°ÐºÐ¾Ð½Ð¾Ð² компенÑиÑÑеÑÑÑ Ð½ÐµÐ¾Ð±ÑзаÑелÑноÑÑÑÑ Ð¸Ñ Ð¸ÑполнениÑ).

A very good saying and obviously one followed by example amongst the P2P population of the entire planet earth.

P2P Health Care Documents sometime so we all can get a torrent download and maybe when we read what Congress has not got time to read we will understand what a Nuclear Freeze would do to the world medical staff and in America we might wonder why is it that we have to pay if we are targets of world terrorist movements and North Korea as well as Iran. Shouldn’t our Congress point this out to these two nationally famous countries and tell them we must ask them to pay the price instead of asking taxpayers to worry about their safety issues abroad and in America. Remember Royalties would be asked up front for any music which would endorse Health Care locations, streaming services might be more available if all hospitals have Internet Services. Forget Sony their license fees have yet to swing it past Congress how much of a cut they want from the Health Care Bill, and Sony expects they too should be insured which means that a nuclear safe place for Sony would be necessary. Microsoft whom supplies most software the people use to access the Internet is not one to complain much about world safety issues but they and Google seek partnerships and trusts between health care providers and insurers and the digital record-keepers, while Sam’s Club, Dell and eClinicalWorks seek the Digital Emergency Medical Record System personalized cards making it much easier to access Health Records by doctors accessing the Internet. Does this P2P provide more than enough resources to not pray on a big cut of a stimulus to fan fair a archival way for Health Care Records? Already available in three states, Virginia, Illinois and Georgia anticipation is that the package will be available to physicians nationwide this year. Hopefully the the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 will pave the way for EMR’s, but the likelihood of the many safe hospitals still may only be available for a few government officials, they do not have to pay like most folks that have a big daddy supporting their employ. It would be interesting to know how the changes would affect Russia and Europe. If the United Nations got the same idea maybe it would convince Iran and South Korea to stop being FOOLISH and start participating in a successful earth story. However to send people to prison for downloading music is a illegal action in my mind it illegally creates a Big-4 cartel which do not pay for their own security so no future exists to be complaining about downloading their own Emergency Medical Records instead, now would they, cause doctors get the access? Just when are the laws going to support the right to life instead of instant death cause a nuclear explosion would surely kill the Big-4 plus all those they put in jails around the world? If Obama gets this through the windows he might see what I see and decide that it can’t possible be a legal argument for the RIAA whom started the blunder knowing there were wars and more wars might result in chaos that make music a unpopular solution as folks die without any tune from iTunes or other music provider cause of access destruction.

I realize what off-topic is but when we consider what the reality is then the cartel does not connect the dots and seemingly believe they have rights to protect intellectual works yet to be completed then it can’t mean they get a free fan fair ticket while taxpayers are left holding the unpaid loans Congress and President Obama approved. Somewhere this issue will stop the flow of monetary funds and likely more closely reserved as “No Cash For Music” program. I meant North Korea, they are a Big-Ax against America and then theres Iran to add to that. If it were not for terrorist all over the world without ears to realize this interesting legal farce supporting a claim and not enforcing the likelihood they would survive an attack, makes me want to crank up a phone to contact Sotomayor and see if she has a solution which would cater to equal rights so the Big-4 know what its like to go full bankrupt without the extra cash parachutes in the law giving them hundreds of thousands even millions per individual that downloads music. If there were subliminal messages within the music shouldn’t the Big-4 be providing better listening software to detect the hidden messages and perhaps go after those terrorist that create that format of music instead of how they have established their operations. What if the individual was someone whom might have helped bailout General Motors in some way later in the future, RIAA really hung one over Congress getting members to eat right from their pulpit and pay when doing so. Let’s try to access the likelihood that Russians feel more safe with knowing the world is enjoying the music. I cannot see how RIAA could enjoy music without a decoding option to find terrorist messaging but they are not thinking on that scale but our Homeland Security and the CIA are. Imagine what RIAA could do placing messages in downloads, they could inflame the issues so greatly on their efforts that everyone would require a RIAA statement recorded to every CD and record being manufactured to know the end was coming, it might stop downloading music entirely.
