Canadian SPAM family sued
p2pnet.net News:- Barry Head and his two sons Eric and Matthew ran a spamming operation from Kitchener in Ontario, Canada, that "misused Microsoft MSN Hotmail services and forged the name of Amazon.com," say the two companies.
The Heads alllegedly sent, "millions of deceptive e-mail messages, including e-mail forgeries falsely purporting to have come from Amazon.com, Hotmail.com, and other domains," say the two Washington-based firms in a joint statement announcing a joint federal lawsuit against the family members.
"The suit, filed in the U.S. District Court in Seattle, alleges that Gold Disk Canada Inc, located in Kitchener, Ontario, along with co-defendants including Barry Head and his two sons Eric and Matthew, mounted illegal and deceptive spamming campaigns …"
The two companies also filed new and separate lawsuit against Leonid ("Leo") Radvinsky and his Chicago-based businesses Activsoft, Inc. and Cybertania, Inc, together with, "several additional unidentified defendants against whom Amazon.com filed suit in August 2003".
The lawsuit alleges Radvinsky sent "millions of illegal and deceptive e-mail messages to MSN Hotmail customers, including messages that were falsely labeled as coming from Amazon.com," says the statement.
Ironically, it was recently revealed that Sender-ID, heavily promoted by Microsoft and supposed to make life difficult for spammers by revealing who they are, was actually being used by them as a kind of ‘credibility’ tool.
An email security company found spammers were trying to make their messages amore palatable by adopting Sender Policy Framework (SPF), meant to help stop spam.

Whether they should be extradited or not is a legitimate question. However, these idiots deserve nothing better to rot in an Afghani jail for that, and every penny they ever made from the operation should be given to charity.

Actually they shouldn’t be extradited. I was being facious.
I think if they want to sue Canadian’s they come to Canada and sue them here. Use our legal system and its courts to determine their guilt or innocence. Hence my feeling that their arrogant to think taking them to court in the USA matters all that much to anyone North of the border.
