It features former network TV reporter Linda Douglass, now White House office of health reform communications director, dissing the Drudge Report.
“In another display of adapting campaign tactics to governing, the White House posted a video on its official website Tuesday to rebut accusations that President Obama’s healthcare proposals would do away with private health insurance,” says the Los Angeles Times.
“Douglass points to a link featured by Drudge and proceeds to discount it, assuring viewers that patients who are satisfied with their private health coverage would be able to keep it,” it says.
She declares:
“The people who always try to scare people whenever you try to bring them health insurance reform are at it again. And they’re taking sentences and phrases out of context and cobbling them together to leave a very false impression.”
On Monday, Drudge posted links to video’s of Barack Obama, “talking about the end of private health insurance in 2007, but saying more recently that he had no intentions of eliminating private coverage,” says the Digital Journal.
It has Douglass saying the White House will be launching a viral assault against “false” Internet claims attacking the health care plan.

No mention of the internet snitch campaign that reeks of Nazi Germany and 1984? For shame. That isn’t in the spirit of P2Pnet at all. Tell them about how the White House is asking US citizens to snitch on those who disagree with and tell the truth about Obama’s plans. Note: not those who are making stuff up or spreading disinformation. Oh no – far better to just call it lying, right? And what are they going to do to those who are reported? Think about that.
Look, it’s real simple: Somebody put up an edited video showing BO saying he wanted to get rid of private heath coverage. The White House then put up an unedited video that showed. . .BO saying he wanted to get rid of private health coverage. It’s not hard to understand. If you disagree with them, if you tell the truth against their spin and lies, then you’re dangerous, don’t you know?
How about that Socialist Joker Obama image? Mean-spirited and dangerous, right? Oh, but it was funny A YEAR AGO when Vanity Fair ran a Joker Bush, wasn’t it? And it was funny for eight years that Bush was Hitler, a monkey, etc. HYPOCRISY.
Come on, this sort of pandering is beneath P2Pnet.

At Bob:
I don’t like the Joker Obamas now, and I didn’t like the Joker/Hitler/whatever Bushes then. IMO people use that kind of name-calling to substitute for their lack of ability to participate in intelligent debate.
I don’t think Jon fits that category – he’s pointing out what the White House is doing, as well as pointing out that their video has an extremely small number of views compared to the massive attention Drudge gets every hour.

Come on P2Pnet You’re making the Drudge Report sound like a legitimate news source!

“a legitimate news source!”
Well, isn’t it? Compared, say, to White House efforts?
Cheers!

Well , the truth will prevail. As expected, the news that is loyal to the failure Obama, THEY’RE TANKING! The people of this country are ready to defend our country, from domestic terrorism. Especially our military. Watch Glen Beck tonight at 8:00 You’ll see who the domestic terrorists are. Quick note: Ann coulter replaced by Perez Hilton, what a joke, looks like someone at nbc wants to finish off nbc for good.
