News is NOT free: Murdoch
p2pnet news view P2P:- Rupert Murdoch’s News Corpse lost lost $3.4 billion in the year to the end of June.
And now he expects you to pay for it.
“News Corp is set to start charging online customers for news content across all its websites,” says the BBC under the headline ‘Murdoch signals end of free new’.
It may be the end of free korporate newz a la Murdoch, but the online world will continue to keep itself up to date without any help from him —- and for free.
“The digital revolution has opened many new and inexpensive methods of distribution,” he says, but [wait for it], it, “has not made content free”.
Accordingly, he says in the story, “we intend to charge for all our news websites. I believe that if we are successful, we will be followed by other media.”
No kidding.
But who needs Murdoch anyway?
Certainly not the net.
To stop readers from moving to the huge number of free news websites, Murdoch says his News Corpse will, “simply make its content ‘better and differentiate it from other people’,” states the BBC.
Good luck with that, Rupert.
No need to stay tuned.

It’s always the same.
The one’s that worry the most about someone getting something for nothing
are invariably the ones that never have to worry about getting anything for
the rest of their lives, or never had to worry about getting anything .. ever.

This article made me laugh. Oh look, another rich person who thinks they can own ideas and control your thoughts! It’s going to be entertaining to watch yet another idiots opinion and overinflated sense of self importance become utterly crushed by reality.

another narcissistic, self absorbed demi-god who thinks he can control what you think and believe. how does he expect to ”differentiate” his sites from others? rupert epitomizes evil in america. hes pro genocide, proven liar, proven pro zionist baby eater, proven that hes attended bohemian grove (google it…nothing but evil acts take place at this corporate/political retreat)
he is one of many faces who outright dupe the american public on a daily basis…want to stay dumb? then give him your money and read the lies and disinfo and make it your own belief/value system, and continue to stay as the cattle he views you as.
see you in hell rupert!!! cant wait for these self obsessed rich guys to start dying off.
( the girl in the car with him looks like a ”lady boy”…knowing that rich white republicans like their affairs to be with men im not surprised that ”girl” next to him is really a 17 year old boy.)

Are you vying for status as CEO of most evil megacorp, Murdoch, along with Google,
Microsoft, Apple, Monsanto and the Big 4/Big 6?
Because I would not visit your so-called “news” sites or watch Faux News even if you
paid me to do so.
To paraphrase a Slashdot meme, if you charged for your sites, nothing of value would
be lost to those who refused to visit them.

No ones buying his papers, so he thinks that the people who aren’t buying his papers will flock to pay him a net fee. He probably thinks that chick in the car loves him for his personality too.
