Following the successful spaceflight of SpaceShipOne, a soft-drink maker plans to offer the first free ticket into space as a contest prize to get people to drink more of its burp water.
Dressing the promo up as an altruistic gesture, 7 Up wants, "to make space travel a reality for everyone, not just for millionaires," says Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages spokesman Randy Gier.
Details of 7 UP’s first free ticket into space will be unveiled in 2005, says a press release.
