UK school girls Asked Jeeves

p2pnet.net News:- Schoolgirls in the UK got more than they bargained for when, during a biology lesson, they Asked Jeeves (a British search engine) for information.

Jeeve’s spelling was not, apparently, up to it and instead of getting information on The Heart, the girls ended up on a page featuring porn star Tera Heart, says the BBC.

Ask Jeeves’ director of product Tony Macklin says it was all down to a problem with a new filtering system.

“It was only meant to identify the two words in combination but this one did slip through,” the BBC quotes Macklin as saying, adding:

“Making sure children are not exposed to inappropriate content at home or school is a concern of government. It has launched the Web safe initiative, of which Ask Jeeves is a member, to provide a safe environment for children on the web.”
