File sharers sued in Europe
p2pnet.net News:- Are the Big Four record labels achieving what they’re after with their now confirmed International Blitz against people who don’t like they way they do business – that’s to say the vast majority of those who are online?
They did.
The ever-faithful, lemming-like mainstream media jumped on it, each trying to outdo the other with hardly a balanced story among them.
On the one hand, you have the might of the international music business with its bottomless pockets, guaranteed media access and legions of lawyers. On the other you have 6,156 ordinary people – men, women and children – with no resources whatsoever.
Below, for your interest, is a selection of Google headlines as of 6:15 am Pacific.

6,156 ordinary people – Big Music versus You, p2pnet, October 8, 2004

October 8th, 2004 at 3:38 pm
why isnt p2pnet in there?
October 8th, 2004 at 4:53 pm
p2pnet is a Google news source and sometimes, it gets included.
The biggies automatically get mucho play but sites such as p2pnet are lucky for a look-in. Inclusion depends on arcane algorithms which apparently change frequently.
Time of posting relative to when a story breaks also seems to be important, as does whether or not the mainstream media see something as ‘news’ and jump on it. [http://p2pnet.net/story/2668]
So much for Google’s vaunted representative coverage.
