DigitalAgenda.ca’s copyright ‘Idea Torrent’
p2pnet news view | P2P | Politics:- Digital Agenda, a new web site aimed at facilitating digital advocacy, has just been launched by the University of Ottawa’s CIPPIC (Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic).
And it comes with an Idea Torrent, “a tool that allows Canadians to suggest, analyze and vote on copyright reform ideas with the ultimate goal of producing a unique grassroots submission to the ongoing government consultation process,” says acting CIPPIC director David Fewer.
The site’s primary initial focus will be on the ongoing copyright consultation, he says, going on:
“DigitalAgenda.ca will provide a venue for Canadians to learn about digital issues as they arise, to discuss them, and let their government know how they feel about these issues.”
The site will also has a letter writing tool to help people customise a submission to the consultation.
DigitalAgenda.ca also provides information on the proposed anti-malware bill (the Electronic Commerce Protection Act), the Lawful Access bills, and on net neutrality.
Stay tuned.
