Dell ‘fire hazard’ adapter recall

p2pnet.net News:- Dell says it’s recalling all most 1,000,000 Chinese-made notebook adapters because they represent a fire hazard and could also cause electrical shock.

The adapters were sold for use with some models of Dell Latitude, Dell Precision and Dell Inspiron notebook computers (Part Numbers 9364U, 7832D and 4983D), says Dell, emphasizing there have been no reports of injuries caused by the adapters.

The recall is being undertaken in cooperation with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.
