Is Twitter the new porn launch pad?
p2pnet news view P2P:- My first task every morning is to go through my email and usually, there are one or two from people who’ve decided to follow p2pnet tweets.
p2pnet had almost 1,000 followers as of 3:40 am Pacific, the exact number being 999.
They’re all accumulated the hard way: one by one. But it should really have been 993 because six followers are girls, namely:
Rosanne Dotson (RosannefDotsonn 762 – 29); Keisha Padilla (KeishadPadilla 810 – 45); Irma Duran (IrmahDuran 789 – 29); Benita Clayton (BenitavClayton 784 – 40); Francis Wynn (FrancismWynn 787 – 28); and, Teresa Franco (TeresakFranco 765 – 32).
Keisha, Teresa and Francis are identical triplets. But all of the girls have the same message — “Add me on MSN foxy_girl …” and the same tiny pic; the one superimposed over Rosanne’s.
From the look of it, this Twitter porn campaign started yesterday with Rosanne and her friends — and, of course, their anonymous online pimp — working from a list.
How many are on the list? Who compiled it? And other relevant questions such as: are any of the people on the list children? And if so, how many?
Only The Shadow and the pimp know.
Almost a year ago, I posted, Lucille166 (Lucille166) is now following your updates on Twitter”
p2pnet had only recently started tweeting and, “with a mere 17 followers to date, new arrivals are of interest,” I said.
Lucille166, however, had 1,766 followers!, I noted, adding: “And when we went to see what made her so popular, we landed on an adults-only girlie site at http://vivatuna.biz.”
Is Twitter soon to become a major location of lubricity? Will we soon have followers touting penis and mammary gland enlargements?
Meanwhile, as I was putting this together the number of my followers had reached 1,000!
Yay!
Who was my newest fan?
Corinne Conner (CorinneoConner 761 – 25) . And she’s Roseanna Dotson’s identical twin.
heh.
Lucille166 is no longer with us, but the line apparently forms on the right and I wonder how many more female followers I’ll have accumulated by the end of the day.

Jon I have the impression you are publishing no so many stories as usual. Am I correct?

@ Paulus:
I badly need a rest and since I can’t really take a full week or two off, for the last four or five days I’ve been packing it in a couple of hours before I usually do, which has indeed meant fewer posts.
But things’ll be back to normal next week.
Cheers!

Yeah, I delete that riff raff from my followers asap. It has to be a real pain in the ass for people like Jon who have a large following.

When that happens, I tend to abandon my twatter account and create a new one. Of course, I only use twatter to track updates for few projects or events via a RSS feed.

When someone creepy (whether porn or some other marketing jerk) follows me, I just ignore the follow.
I don’t follow back, but neither do I bother blocking. It doesn’t seem worth wasting that much time on the
creeps, and I had thought that ignoring them does them no good and me no harm.
Am I missing some harm that is done, to me or to others that matter, by just ignoring creeps?
(By `others that matter’ I mean that it doesn’t worry me if the creeps are harmed, though neither
does it worry me if they aren’t.)
