Twitter cans girlie spam

twitter spamp2pnet news view P2P:- Hi Emma Brooks. Thanks for following me on Twitter, and I’m now following you.

But I almost didn’t.

How come?

I don’t know about other people who run websites, but every morning, spam filters notwithstanding, I still have to turf a not inconsiderable amount of spam-crap out of my in-box.

I have a Twitter account  mainly because I’m intrigued by the idea of micro-blogging and I have my preferences set so every time someone follows me, I get an email. That way, I can respond in kind — after, of course, sorting through the bird shit.

On Tuesday, Is Twitter the new porn launch pad? – I wondered, noting I had six new followers, namely: Rosanne Dotson; Keisha Padilla; Irma Duran; Benita Clayton; Francis Wynn; and, Teresa Franco.

Would I like to see them nekked? – they wanted to know.

Yesterday there were 12 more, and all with real-looking names, and, Is there no end to Twitter girlie porn? – I asked.

Then this morning, a slew of new emails from Lina Macdonald, et al, awaited my attention. But this time I deleted them all, bar one, without bothering to see if they were real or not. Like, who has the time for this kind if BS?

Emma Brooks was the last and because I needed a pic to go with this post, I headed over to her Twitter page and Lo! She was real!

Meanwhile, the Twitter Head Birds have canned the girlie spam …

… for now.

No need to stay tuned. ;)

Cheers!
