While it doesn't proactively stop people from following you, it lets you scan all of your followers and block spambots. I run every couple of days to clear these out. :) Jon,

Some of them are pretty disgusting. Until something can be done apart from locking your account I will continue to advise the young not to bother with it and stick to their msn chats.
