p2pnet.net News:- Samsung Electronics is now offering off a handset with a five-megapixel camera, claimed to be the first of its kind, and four-hour video recording, an mp3 player and text-to-speech conversion..

The SCH-S250, is expected to hit the market next week through Korea’s SK Telecom for about $875 (1 million won).

The new model has a 16-million-color liquid crystal display monitor and 92-megabyte embedded memory, says the Korea Times.

The five-megapixel capability means users can get a picture that’s as good as any mid-range stand-alone digital camera, says the report, going on that the next version of the SCH-S250 will have more advanced functions such as optical zoom.

However, Samsung rival Pantech & Curitel says it, too, has almost developed a five-megapixel phone and is currently considering when to launch, adds the Korea Times.
