—- unless its owner, Hans Pandeya, comes up with the wherewithal to settle tax debts he’s said to owe the Swedish authorities.
It’s been all quiet on The Pirate Bay front, of late. But now things are getting noisy again.
For Pandeya, anyway.
He’s the man behind Global Gaming Factory X which on August 27 was set, according to various credulous media, to become TPB’s new owner.
But it didn’t happen and had never really looked like it would, various reports to the contrary notwithstanding.
Harley-Davidson, BMW, motor yacht
Repossession agents already have Pandeya’s motorcycle and car.
Now they have his yacht (right), seized at the Royal Motorboat Club at Djurgårdsbron in Stockholm and worth a reported 450,000 kroner (about $69,070 Canadian), says realtid.se.
It’s berthed at Boghammars Marin at Indore.
Pandeya owes the Swedish tax authorities some 782,516 kroner (about $C120,033), says the story. But Pandeya’s Harley-Davidson motorcycle, BMW car and motor yacht have together been valued only at approximately 640,000 ($C98,174) it states.
realtid.se quotes Pandeya as saying he has the money, but it’s tied up in shares which can’t be converted into cash because trading has been halted by independent equity marketplace Aktietorget, where they’re listed.
