Not so much.
In every reality show I have ever seen, the ‘contestants’ aren’t allowed to contact their families.
It’s pretty much the norm for any reality show, and should have been outlined in the contract
that THOSE INVOLVED SIGNED. Just because it was an internet based reality show wouldn’t necessarily
make it any different. Just because it may have been internet based doesn’t make it ‘fake’ either.

The contracts the peopled SIGNED would reveal exactly what THEY AGREED TO.

There are really too few details to assume that the women were conned.

I don’t think we’re getting the whole story.
If the contracts they signed allowed the contract holder to show
footage on the internet, then where’s the crime ?
So far, it sounds like everyone was old enough, AND consenting. and even
signed a contract to that effect.

Just because it was an Internet reality show, doesn’t make it any less a reality show.

Hopefully more info will surface because as it stands now, There seems to be no crime
except the stupidity of those willing to sign a contract without fully reading and understanding it.
