Oz prime minister’s site hacked

p2pnet news view | P2PPolitics:- “It’s currently 2:34am Melbourne time,” says intrepid p2pnet correspondent Andrew over in Australia, going on »»»

would of reported earlier but was tired watching TV. ;)

at about 9:30pm it was reported on news.com.au that Kevin Rudds Government website had been attacked, and ACMAs website but were back up an hour later

Read original article here on news.com.au. The article describes the posting on the website, and even the steps anonymous posted to attack the website

And guess who was responsible?

An anonymous person/people named Anonymous.

Andrew goes on »»»

Googles Cache has revealed nothing of the attack.

No mention of the attack on Mr.Rudd’s twitter and his Commercial Government website (listed on his twitter/web) has been untouched (which I’ll be using to send a message, Indeed!)

I had an eery feeling this would happen LOL Nerrrrr

Thats not all the Famfirst Senator (Stephen Fielding) who pushed the filter has his own problems Spelling and Grammar says ‘fiskal’ Oh dear God, We are screwed! lol God Help AU now

The hack follows Australia’s attempts to introduce online censorship which would, “block legal content, and take censorship to levels like that seen in China,”  says news.com.au continuing »»»

“Not only will your rights be at stake, our Internet speeds will slow down by 70 per cent, be mandatory for all Aussies and will not protect us from evil AT ALL”, the post said.

The posting, titled “Anonymous vs the Australian Government”, also gives a blow-by-blow account of the hacker’s progress, to wit

“In two minutes from when I type this, Anonymous is declaring war on the Australian Government over its decision to implement Draconian internet censorship,” the post said.

“Tick tick tick.

“Update: 7pm: and so it begins.

“7:05pm (AEST), Ministers page is slow to load, but still up.

“7:11pm weve confirmed on site (via a source) that the sites due to be attacked have been taken down from the coordination page, possibly before the raid.

“7:18pm pm.gov.au DOWN!

“7:21pm Kevin Rudd’s page is down completely. Strike one to Anonymous.”

Thanks, Andrew. Excellent! :)

Stay tuned.

Communications Senator Stephen ‘Web Villian ‘09′ Conroy(yes, thank you I just came up with that lol) labelled the attack just ‘juvenile’ http://tinyurl.com/kuyx4x, as he was walking into parliament this morning

A hack is where you get into someones blog/website without their permission and post a message or inflammatory/Sarcasm content to get your message across, A DDoS attack is were the person/company dosent get your message and you just get upset and take down the whole website LOL (: (via a flood of traffic)
