Caller ID spoof service
p2pnet.net News:- Is it worth five cents a minute to you to be able to call anywhere in the US or Canada with a spoofed number?
That’s what Camophone is offering via its Privacy Guard service.
Star38.com is offering a ’secure’ web interface to mask your CallerID information, “so you can appear to be calling from any phone number, anywhere”.
But there’s a caveat: it’s available only to licensed private investigators and collection agencies.
Privacy Guard is, however, for anyone who wants to pay for it.
“To make a telephone call, you fill out our simple web form with 1) Phone number of party you are calling, 2) A phone number to reach you, and 3) The Caller ID you wish to send,” says the company on its interestingly minimalist site.
“At the click of a button, the system will call you first, then call the party you are attempting to reach. The called party will receive the caller ID that you specified. The system will then bridge the two calls together.
“This method is private and untraceable.”
Does Camophone keep data on users?
No, it promises. “Camophone does not log any information on you, set any cookies on your computer, or attempt to monitor or track you. We do not keep any Call Detail Records at all.”

Star38.com only offers its services to law enforcement. I was just on the site and emailed their people after reading your post. Nowhere on the site does it say that they offer to private investigators OR collection agencies. You made me look like a fool and wasted my time. Get your facts RIGHT before you print something …

Dang Nabit- there use to be plans for a “Orange Box” hardware tone generator “not the crystal swap on a tone dialer” that included source for a PIC. I can not find these plans anywhere- I had them on my old computer but now this thing is becoming a needle in a hay-stack. If anybody wants to send me the plans and source I will make them one for sending the plans-source/link. Common GUYS lets get this thing off the ground
