Michael Jackson: alive and well in Sony’s mind

p2pnet news view | Movies:- Michael Jackson may be dead. But that doesn’t mean he’ll rest in peace.

Not if Sony has anything to do with it.

This Is It is Sony’s ‘concert’ flick of Jackson’s rehearsals of the series, “both on stage and behind the scenes,” says the Wikipedia.

It has Jackson, “mentoring his team for the 50 shows, as well as him creating, developing and ultimately staging the high-tech performances,” says the post, noting although it’s set for worldwide theatrical release on October 28, “with a limited two-week run,” tickets are going on sale on September 27, “to satisfy a high anticipated demand” because Sony is hyping the hell out of it.

“Michael Jackson has an army of fans everywhere around the world,” Variety has a Sony marketing guy saying.

The film will allow them to, “join together in celebration of Michael Jackson’s incredible career”.

Riiiiight.

i am definitely going. I’m hoping they release an ultimate box edition of his music too. MJ is the one artist i would pay head over heels to see. The only thing stopping me from going to his final concerts was a physical lack of the 2000+ dollars it would cost.

f4te said it all for me.
if i could i would of flown to london.
he is alive as well in my heart so yes i am buying the cd to complete my collection and watching the movie at the theaters for my pleasure.
    who cares if sony profits.
mj was the only reason i dont buy sony and he will also be the only reason i do.
mj forgave them, tommy was fired so enough for me to stop boycotting sony.
sony make money i make pleasure.

  3. jenny Says:

Yup yup…if I could have, I would have gone to one or more of the shows- hes THAT good.
My daily regimen… listening to at least three MJ songs per day on my ipod. Thats everything from J5-BDF and very soon, This Is It.
    Catch everyone @ the movies.
    Long live MJ!

  4. Eric Says:

Theoretically, if the rehearsal performance(s) went well, they could be edited into a complete piece that would be as good as the actual concert would have been.

BUT, it will only be one show and it ain’t gonna be live. Literally.

  5. Henry Emrich Says:

I can save you all the hassle:

    Michael Jackson’s entire “career”:

    1. Grab crotch
    2. Scream “whoo-hoo”
    3. Spin
    4. Repeat steps 1-3.
    5. In the event of diminished interest, repeat step 1, substituting MacCauley Kulkin’s crotch.

Yup, that about covers it :)

  6. Devil's Advocate Says:

    @Henry:

    LMFAO!!!

  7. G Thompson Says:

    Shame on you Henry!

    Shame Shame Shame…

How dare you forget about the Monkey and Elephant Man!

    ROFLMFAOPIMP

Give me a Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, or P!nk (yes her concerts are freakin awesome..like a circue solei(sp??)) concert anyday.

Michaels music was ok way back when.. But it was mostly about hype and puffery and MTV then anything to do with reality.

  8. NO1UNO Says:

    Some LMAO comments for sure!!
Did you all know that MJ got spoofed in a recent computer game?
Check out Plants vs. Zombies, absolutely great little game by Pop Cap.
I love to drop a cherry bomb when the MJ zombie pops up with his “group”
    Its really a blast!!!

  9. Ligaya Says:

Boys, boys! Why do you pit artists against each other? As if I can’t like more than one type of music. Do you eat only one kind of food? Do you think Pink/Rolling Stones hate MJ? Looked like the whole audience was rocking to the VMA Thriller/Billie Jean/Smooth Criminal/Scream dance medley tribute to me. MJ loved all kinds of music, not only Motown’s black artists – classical, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Burt Bacharach, BeeGees, Eminem…

  10. Da Champ Says:

Some of YOU PEOPLE are SSSSSoooo SSSSTUPID!!! Is this the best you stupid asses and racists can come up with? The man haL given more to charity than all of your momma’s and poppa’s have given or WILL GIVE or HAVE GIVEN the whole time you parents and grandparents have given since they had their plantations!!! look’em up in the book of WORLD RECORDS!!! and that’s just on record, not off. Michael Jackson has family and children and HOW will you explain to GOD the warrant for this treatment??? You wont get your chances cause you’ll be too busy BURNIN’ IN HELL!!! Now I know WE can’t expect dumb asses to see truth so I’m gonna spell it out very simple for you. Q. Have you ever heard IN YOUR LIVES that Angels ACCUSE people of ANYTHING??? A. NO, only DEVILS do that. So when WE say stupid things about people are we accusing them of they things??? If we sneeze like a devil and breath like a devil then GOTDAMMIT it must be a DEVIL…Now assume your devilish positions BITCHES!!!lol

P.S. I’m waiting for your responses right now!!!

  11. G Thompson Says:

    @Da Champ

Here’s something you should really REALLY read and REALLY contemplate on

“Stupidity does not consist in being without ideas. Such stupidity would be the sweet, blissful stupidity of animals, molluscs and the gods. Human stupidity consists in having lots of ideas, but stupid ones.” – Henry de Montherlant (1896-1972)

    and always remember

Dieu me pardonnera C’est son métier.

    blessed be!!! ;)

  12. TEP Says:

Your ignorance to the person you are slandering is appalling…

you obviously had no idea about the political and community work Michael Jackson did.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HY-7cPh49Q&NR=1

What have you done to contribute to our world? Since you think you are so much better of a person then him…

I personally do volunteer work in Central America teaching life skills, that is my contribution to our world.

    Tamara

  13. Bob Says:

Haha, racist, eh? That just about covers everybody who ever disagrees with you, doesn’t it, Da Champ? Get a grip.

  14. MeToo Says:

    DaChamp:

Dont worry bout all those sad people, they’re just losing their voice. We know MJ fans and ‘likers’ are too spread out in the world. Even if they dont act crazy like the fans, they all love MJ, like a big iceberg below the tip. So just let all those haters have their opportunity, coz their voice is dying anyway.. They know nothing they say can replace people’s love from MJ. So just let them scrreeamm..haha..while we’re having our good time listening to MJ music.

  15. aaron Says:

i cant wait for the release of this is it, if your familar with michael jackson as an artist you know this film is gonna be magical, we miss you michael rest in peace and god bless your family and kids

  16. Henry Emrich Says:

    1. “He donated more to charity”…..blah blah blah.

This is probably one of the dumbest aspects of “celebrity” culture — the idea that somehow, donating a piddlingly-small amount to various charities (without actually addressing the underlying *causes* of the issues those charities are supposedly ‘helping’) somehow makes up for the fact that he was a total whackjob.

But hey, can’t expect ‘diehard fans’ to understand that — which is why you MJ fanbots damn near crashed the ‘net.
The guy was just another celebrity trainwreck who hadn’t actually done anything even halfway good since “thriller”.

Your reactions are fascinating, because it’s almost like poking fun at the guy is sacrilegious. Did you people write angry letters to the South Park people, after that “Jeffersons” episode?

    Funny, funny stuff!

  17. Anonymous Says:

    i thought michael hated sony…..?
