Glenn Beck and the Boiled Green Frog
p2pnet news view | Politics:- American radio and TV guy Glenn Beck apparently thought it’d be kind of interesting to explore the old wives’ tale that if you throw a frog into boiling water, it’ll immediately jump right out.
But, the tale goes, if you gently place the frog in warm water and gradually raise the temperature, it’ll sit there happily — until it’s boiled alive.
He used it to illustrate an attack on Obama saying he [Obama] has tossed Americans into boiling water, at the same time dropping what appeared to be a tiny, green (Pacific Chorus?) frog into a steaming, bubbling pot.
“OK, forget the frog,” he says. “I swear I thought they’d jump right out.”
Was it really boiling water?
Was it really a live frog?
Or, “did we witness the senseless murder of an innocent frog?” – asks the Christian Science Monitor, adding »»»
We don’t know. We never saw the actual frog enter the water.
And at the end of the segment he said, “Forget about the Republicans, because most of them are fake. Forget about the Democrats, because most of them are fake.”
The Huffington Post writes that he concluded the segment by saying, “And forget about the frog, because it was fake!” (But that’s not on the video. So who knows?)
Regardless, he’s upset a lot of people. One writer over at Little Green Footballs writes, “But even if it was a stunt, and no frog was killed … this is still amazingly sick. This show airs at a time in the early afternoon when children are watching.”
Children are watching Glenn Beck? Where?
Regardless, it’s doubtful that the controversy has much [frog] legs. Maybe the Philadelphia Eagles will offer him a contract …
Check out the video below.
Did he? Or didn’t he?

Someone should just get it over with, and throw Beck into some boiling oil.
…And maybe throw in Bill O’Reilly and Tucker Carlson for good measure.
What a waste of broadcast resources.

Don’t forget FOX’s broadcast license(s)!

You can see in the video, the idiot never had a frog in his hand. If you’re bound and detemined to
PISS OFF the general public, at least actually DO SOMETHING!!

“You can see in the video, the idiot never had a frog in his hand.”
I wish it was true but actually when you play the video frame by frame you can see something green falling from his hand. There is a very small chance that the frog actually landed outside the pot but it is very unlikely.
I am hoping that frogs are nobody.
Anyway this guy is awful!

By looking more carefully at the slow motion the frog he pick up seem very real.
Also when he throw something in the pot you can see a small splash and you can hear it. So unless he changed object between when and then we have to conclude that he actually tossed the frog in the pot.
It is hard to say how hot was the water but you can see the flame under the pot and the water steaming.
It really seem to me that he boiled a frog although there is no way to be sure.
Pretty nasty!

Is this really newsworthy? Because it sounds like routine insanity for Beck. The guy’s a fucking wacko. What else is new?

who is this guy? my FOX channel only airs normal prime-time comedies and dramas – and many of them are NOT FOX shows.

@catflap
He’s a fox news personality. He’s also a complete nutcase imo. BTW, I didn’t see a frog.

Get a life. If you see the whole video and not just the carefully edited exerpt shown here you would know it was a rubber frog. He pulls the frog out of the pot and has the guest confirm it was a rubber frog. To you really believe everything you read on an internet blog? I mean if someone went through the trouble to start an unfounded rumor on the internet it must be true right? Find out the whole truth and make an educated opinion.

@ Noahfecks
Him being a nutcase is completely independent of whether the frog was real.
