Homicide cop leaked police data: allegation
p2pnet news view | Crime:- A homicide detective said to have used a computer to send information in police databanks to criminals hasn’t been suspended.
Instead, he’s been moved to a different department, says the Montreal Gazette.
“Mario Lambert, 42, was arrested Monday after an investigation by the Montreal police force’s internal affairs department discovered that the veteran cop had allegedly gleaned information from the police computer that contains a vast array of information on citizens, such as licence plate numbers, home addresses, police reports and criminal records,” it says.
“It’s unclear how the charges will affect the current cases in which Lambert is involved.”
Lambert testified at the preliminary hearing of Benjamin Hudon-Barbeau, allegedly linked to the Hells Angels and accused of carrying out a double murder outside a bar on the Main in 2006, says the story, adding:
“The alleged [computer] offences occurred between Dec. 16, 2008 and March 23, 2009; May 6, 2009 and June 9, 2009. The charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.”

See, this is what is in store for people should lawful access ever be passed.
This isn’t the first time cop’s have been caught using law-enforcement databases and computers to get info on people that have no business looking at and passing the info on.
Cop in Ottawa did the same just a couple of months ago and many more.
Lawful access in Canada with out direct oversight and direct watchdogs involved in real time -legalized private citizen snooping at any time. -Passing off of info to criminal organizations.
I hope the privacy commissioner is making note of all these cases (and the fact these people are just transferred with full pay).

I know Benj (hudon) he really has link to the H-A….. he was implicated in a lot of drug trafiking and implicated in a few killing…..
Mario lambert is known to be a good cop and i’m sure there is going to be a good reason if he did the allegations…… I heard hudon treathing him last year…..
