This isn't the first time cop's have been caught using law-enforcement databases and computers to get info on people that have no business looking at and passing the info on. Cop in Ottawa did the same just a couple of months ago and many more. Lawful access in Canada with out direct oversight and direct watchdogs involved in real time -legalized private citizen snooping at any time. -Passing off of info to criminal organizations. I hope the privacy commissioner is making note of all these cases (and the fact these people are just transferred with full pay). See, this is what is in store for people should lawful access ever be passed.
