To put this into context you the owner of the website never gave Google these permissions but you have no comeback or legal footing to stand on even if your website is members only their spider can view its content.

If you write a book they dont ask your permission to scan it into their system but you still cant do diddly about it.

If you write to them and say “remove my house from Google street view” they will not.

If you write a EULA of your own in your website/book/front of house stating you dont give permission for them to use it in any way other than you state you would get laughed out of court if you even made it that far for trying to defend it.

As previous poster stated it is not illegal for you to record to dvd/vhs/cd/tape/mp3 etc from radio/tv (and im pretty sure they enjoy the profits gained from the sale of these goods) but suddenly they found a way to track you at home on the internet and now we are all funding terrorism and deserve to be treated like criminals.

It is sick seeing courts being used in this manner (to destroy families to make an example of them) but just demonstrates the type of world/society we live in today.

However it isnt the end of everything there are things we can do.

1, If you have children remove the TV from the house (children are impressionable let them watch tv when they actualy have their own opinions dont let the RIAA etc fill their heads with junk on who they should or should not be)

2, Home school your children (schools are their to make your children into good little slaves without their own opinions hence the child who doesnt conform is a bad child is expression/individuality bad?)

3, Throw away the free paper that graces most door mats in the western world (this is just the adult dose of keeping you inline and if they are so keen on being green (lol biggest lie we got going atm) then why waste all that paper?)

4, Turn off the radio or are our lives realy that booring that we cant communicate anymore (or is this the result of us being fed fashion rubbish and famous people etc that we now feel so insignificant compared to what is happening at the oscars or on coronation street?)

5, Ignore your polititions (they dont stand for you anymore or never have as far back as I remember it is scandle after scandle after lie on top of lie remember they cant have a debate or pretend to stand for you if you dont acknowledge their reprisentation)

6, Make other parents aware of what is happening to their children (The media/fashion etc etc have been ramming so much crap down our throats for so many years now of who/how/what etc we should be. does it supprise you that depression/mental health problems are so high that kids go round cutting on themselves or shooting up schools)

These are just a few things that we can do to save ourselves ourfriends ourchildren. (if you belive that none of this is true then watch your children as they develop and turn into adults who dont think for themselves, who’s opinions are formed by what is on TV the night before, Who think they will become famous etc etc etc only to become old, bitter, depressed, burnout, lonely.

Only by educating our own children and not letting people like RIAA MPAA use fearmongering on us and them will things like this end (they are only on a pedelstool because we allow it)

Innocent people should not have to be made to hand over thousands just to settle a false claim. I is less expensive to hand over $5000 rather
than spend 25000 to go to trial. Where is the court in all of this knowing defendants who are innocent are being made to pay money as there only choice.

These miscarriages of justice shouldn’t be happening in our court system. Yes, it is wise to obfuscate if you’re planning to do anything that you don’t want to be traced back to you, but we shouldn’t have to obfuscate. Whistle blowers should automatically have protection if they access a site such as wikileaks. Journalists shouldn’t have to fear their respective governments, and noncommercial\not-for-profit file shares shouldn’t have to fear bankruptcy\ retribution from powerful corporations for their actions.

On a more serious note my families business already pays a law firm. I would likely fight it or settle once they agreed to drop it for nothing+paying my court costs+lost time.
