Most Welsh people are criminal pirates
p2pnet news view Music:- Most Welsh people are thieving criminal pirates.
But East Anglians are OK.
Or put another way, a survey of music spending and consumption habits by music price comparison site CompareDownload, as quoted by StrategyEye, reveals, “most piracy takes place in Wales, with nearly half of those surveyed admitting to illegally downloading music”
BUT, “Those in East Anglia are mostly law-abiding, with only 18% admitting to file-sharing”.
Overall, “around 75% of the people living in the UK think music is too expensive,” says the story, also pointing out the average person — except the inhabitants of Wales, of course — spends GBP10,000 (US$16,000) on music during their lifetime, and, “42% of men and 29% of women admit to downloading music illegally”.
The claim that people who share music with each other online are pirates, criminals, and thieves comes from Vivendi Universal, EMI, Warner Music and Sony Music, who have themselves been relentlessly ripping people off for decades.

And it has nothig to do with file sharing.

isn’t “nearly half” less than “most”? less than fifty percent is nearly half, so it’s not the majority.

Wales should secede from the not-so-great Britain.

Not everyone will admit to ILLEGAL file sharing if asked, which means the number of people doing it will invariably be higher than represented. I also couldn’t see where sample size was listed so again the results of this survey may be questionable. Based on my own experience asking family, friends and co-workers, I can tell you just about everyone does it. I’m a pretty good study of human nature and I’d be willing to bet good money that those who claim they don’t do it because it is morally wrong are lying as well. Even if they’re successful at lobbying for new laws, I just don’t see the entertainment industry ever winning their battle against piracy.
