Konfabulator for Windows
p2pnet.net OT News:- Arlo Rose’s Konfabulator is moving over to Windows.
In June, Apple announced Dashboard – an entry point for various small applications such as calculator, clock and calendar – as part of its next version of Mac OS X, otherwise known as Tiger.
However, Dashboard and his $25 MAC Konfabulator are amazingly similar, says Rose.
"It’s insulting, is what it is," he’s quoted as saying in an SFGate story. "They could have at least offered to work with us or to buy it."
But Apple senior vp Phil Schiller said at the time. "It’s not his stuff. What we’ve done is ours."
Now with Konfabulator on Windows on Moindya, "We’re all diehard Macintosh developers here, but we recognize that Windows is the dominant platform," Macworld quotes RTose as saying, adding:
"In a dig at Apple he added: ‘When you have a great idea, you want more than 2 per cent of the global market to have access to it’."
