I see no such thing. My google defaults to google.ca. Maybe they only removed it from one of the country pages. Follow the letter of the law if not the spirit?

Found it, apparently it was booted off the searches “by mistake”:

“Google received a (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) take-down request that erroneously listed Thepiratebay.org, and as a result, this URL was accidentally removed from the Google search index,” Google said in a statement. “We are now correcting the removal, and you can expect to see Thepiratebay.org back in Google search results this afternoon.”

Later, Google updated it’s statement: “The removal appears to be an internal error and not part of a DMCA request.”

also, it gives no indication of which links are removed, meaning that the message doesn’t say that links from pbay were removed, only that “links” were removed. there are other search results not from pbay but which do mention pbay. who’s to say the removed links are direct pbay links? i don’t see that info.

well actually, now i see at the bottom, my page says they removed 3 results. but the search results page doesn’t look any different than usual except for that if you scroll to the very bottom.
