Extradited Australian ’scene’ member Hew Griffiths was slapped with a sentence of more than 4 years in US prison. Worse yet, after he did his time, he was then charged with being an illegal alien and sent to another prison.

He gave the US government full disclosure of how and what he did. The way I see it, they should be paying him not throwing him into a US jail.

Point of fact, all it requires to extradite someone from New York to California is one person’s signature (the Governor or NY) according to the Constitution. No evidence needed. Any appeals JUST waste time, they cannot be granted.

I don’t know….. He definitely doesn’t deserve much of a sentence, but he did commit a crime against the US under both UK and US law. The US has every right to see what he broke into and who he may have passed the information to, even if it was due to his naivety.
