It’s Thanksgiving here in Canada and I, for one, have a lot to be thankful for.

Thanks to all those unpaid readers and writers whose work has been, and still is,  keeping p2pnet going.

Thanks to RocketTorrents, Frostwire, TekSavvy, Antispyware — and to the anonymous supporter who together provide the dollars which pay the bills online and off.

Thanks to all the independent thinkers and innovators who singly and collectively have kept the Internet open and free.

Thanks to Tanya Anderson, Brittany Kruger, Marie Lindor, Patti Santangelo, Rae-Jay Schwartz, Jammie Thomas-Rasset and all the other brave souls who, without legal or financial resources, have taken everything the entertainment cartels have to offer and thrown it back in their faces.

Thanks to my wife, Liz, and daughter, Emma, who’ve backed me up me and supported me all this time.

And thanks to the many people on- and offline (and in some strange and unexpected places) who’ve picked me up when I was down and given me a kick in the ass when I needed it.
