The whole family, including me, is down with a flu bug so my brain really

@Dredd:

"I wish I could remember the article, there was one here at p2pnet mentioning some corporate boob said that taping a show and skipping the commercials was the same as ’stealing."

Every little bit they get, they go for even more, and usually get it.
I suggested this to someone else.

I was mocked 'You see the future and it's all BAD' I was told.

No, I see what's happening now all around, and it follows the same pattern
everywhere.

We'll see about the future.

I've spent the better part of the last decade hopeful some kind of compromise would be reached, that the copyright industry would see reason and respect the common good of the public. Sadly that is looking less and less likely as time goes by. It is the public whom chooses whether a price is fair or not and it is the public who puts money in their coffers, making them rich. It never ceases to amaze me how blind and short sighted the industry is being when it acts the way it does, calling it's very own customers criminals, generating anger and resentment. If they need protection from anyone, it is themselves. After reading the above I have to admit that I am beginning to lose the last of my optimism, not just for a better future but also in our governments ability to do the right thing by taking an honest stand for all of this country's people. With the path we seem to be on right now, I see a bleak future with no more fair dealings when it comes to copyright and no more far dealing when it comes to finding justice in the courts. Just look at Sweden and how difficult it has been for TPB to get a fair trial, something supposedly guaranteed as a constitutional right. With most judges having business ties to the very industry attacking all of us, the future is looking very dark indeed. I have a feeling it is going to get much worse before it begins to get better too. Greed, fear, ignorance and intolerance. I feel these four will be the true horsemen of the apocalypse.
