Windows 7 Japan burp-a-thon

p2pnet news view | Advertising:- Japan has created another monster.

And it’s scarier than Godzilla.

It’s part of a Microsoft promo to launch W7 in the land of the rising Sun and, for a limited time, indigestion.

That’s it on the right.

For ¥777, you get seven patties.

But only for seven days.

Clever, eh?

What will they think of next?

Let the heart-burn begin. ;)

For those who are Japanese language challenged (heh), this is being promoted by Burger King, and only 30 of these per store, per day (first come first served). The price, is 777 Yen (about $8.50 US), and once the 7 days are over, the price will hike up to 1400 yen (about $16 US).

I was, however, surprised to find out that one of the Burger Kings that I go to in downtown Tokyo (There are presently around 8 stores I think), had already served their alloted 30 7 Patty burgers before I had arrive at 12 noon. Not bad for a company that went “belly up” several years ago, and has just started getting back into the fast food business over here.

    Just my two cents
