RFID chips on drug bottles
p2pnet.net News View:- Viagra sales are, well, drooping, but it looks as if the Penal Pep Pill will be riffed.
As we posted a couple of days back, the Food and Drug Administration and several major drug makers are expected to tag drug containers with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) spy chips.
Viagra had to pull its Blue Devil tv drug ad because it extolled the drug’s perceived virtues and ignored its draw-backs such as blushing and vision problems, said the FDA.
It now looks as if the spy-chips-on-drug-bottles idea will go through.
It doesn’t take a PhD in pharmacy to see where that could lead.
