Asia ‘Linux’ threat

p2pnet.net News:- Asian governments have been told they could face intellectual property rights claims if they use free software such as Linux, says the BBC, quoting a Retuers story.

Microsoft ceo Steve Ballmer told Asian leaders Linux violated at least 228 patents, says Reuters, going on that according to Ballmer, countries using Linux which entered the World Trade Organisation would be at risk.

He was, "speaking at a meeting of Microsoft’s Asian Government Leaders Forum in Singapore," says the BBC story.

"He also said that security fears over the use of Microsoft software were overblown."

Steve Ballmer is just Bill Gates’s mouthpiece by proxy. If Bill said all this shit, it would look make him look stupid. Since when has Steve Ballmer done anything productive for Microsoft? He hasnt. He’s just Bill Gates’s mouth that speaks for him.

Give some numbers and detailed information, and let the open-source community decide the truthfulness of corporate speech.
