Coyotes kill folk-singer Taylor Mitchell

Two coyotes attacked and killed 19-year-old folk singer Taylor Mitchel in Cape Breton park, Nova Scotia.
She’d, “already collaborated with award-winning artists, written and released her debut album to great acclaim and enthusiastically embarked on her first East Coast tour,” says Sun Media.
She was taking a break on a solo hike when she was attacked.
“Paramedics rushed Ms. Mitchell, who had bites all over her body, to Sacred Heart Hospital in Cheticamp,” says the Chronice-Herald.
“She was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax early Tuesday evening, where she succumbed to her injuries Wednesday morning, Sgt. Leger said.”
Taylor Mitchell was her stage name. She was born Taylor Josephine Stephanie Luciow.

completely bizarre- coyotes are usually more scavengers then hunters, and taking down a adult human? that just seams… maybe it was wolves? What a crappy way to go in any case.

RW: Wolves aren’t known to attack humans, either. Most wild canines are very shy, unless they’re rabid.

Though not normally but they have, a miner in upper Sask was jogging back to camp and a lone wolf attacked him, luckily it was a lone wolf and the headlock the miner put the wolf in held until the bus of miners arrived. And a UWaterloo geo eng student, again in Northern Sask, was out alone for a walk around 7pm, his remains was found the next morning, surrounded by wolf tracks.
As their food gets scarce they become more brave and in rare occurrences attack humans.
